Dear Pivotal Friends,
My name is Theresa Gamboa, and I grew up in foster care in my teen years. Now I’m a graduate of San Francisco State and in my third year working in marketing for Afero, a local Silicon Valley Tech company thanks to Pivotal. The Pivotal community was there for me when I worked through some challenging times. They gave me structure and a sense of belonging. I knew when I was a bit further along in my career, that I wanted to come back and find a way to support other young people from foster care and THAT TIME IS NOW!
I invite corporate, community, and individual partners to join me in my “Spread the Love'' campaign, aimed at providing love and support to teenagers and college students who have grown up in foster care. Together, we can bring smiles to the faces of these young people with simple holiday gifts. Having been a Pivotal scholar myself, I understand firsthand the profound impact of knowing that someone cares enough to give -- that someone believes in the worth and significance of our students!
HERE'S HOW IT WORKS

Work with me and the Pivotal team to build a personalized holiday drive page with a top-ten holiday wish list from scholars and/or gifts for children of parenting scholars.
2.
Invite your team to purchase a gift from the wish list. We are happy to wrap the gifts OR we can deliver them to your company office for a team-building holiday wrapping event!
3.
Upon request, I would be happy to come speak to your employees about the impact they are making at a drop-off or holiday company event.
We want to make this a rewarding experience for you and our scholars. We can customize the campaign to make it easy, fun, and inspiring.

ABOUT PIVOTAL:
Starting as early as 9th grade, we work with foster youth as they navigate the critical years from high school to college and into the workforce. Paired with their own Pivotal coach, foster youth get one-on-one support to set their educational and career goals and then develop a plan to achieve them. We set young people up for success through professional development workshops, college scholarships, and paid summer internships.
