COACHING
Our coaches help each every foster youth focus on what it takes to be successful in school and on the job. Their support goes far beyond the basics of academic and career counseling. Pivotal coaches are highly trained professionals. They use evidence-backed practices for working with students who have experienced trauma as children. Our coaches help young people from foster care move beyond their past and focus on their success.
ENRICHMENT
It’s no secret: all kids benefit from learning experiences beyond the classroom. Foster youth don't have parents or resources to have those experiences. Our flagship STEM program, youth leadership activities, and professional development workshops give our high school-aged foster youth the opportunities to explore career interests, build self-confidence and receive mentorship from career professionals.
ACCESS
Foster youth need a more level playing field to succeed. That’s why we provide college scholarships and pay for private academic tutoring so they can fill in academic gaps. We connect them cool internships and jobs in Silicon Valley that match their career goals. At Pivotal, access is about equity.
