We are delighted to welcome Robyn Klitgaard to Pivotal's Board of Directors!

Robyn has always felt a deep commitment to community impact and education. Her father was the first in their family to attend college, doing so while serving in the US Air Force. With a career spanning over three decades, Robyn dedicated herself to public service, serving for 32 years with the Santa Clara County Probation Department, taking on roles as both a Probation Officer and Supervising Probation Officer. She also worked with the Public Defender's Office and the National Center for Juvenile Justice. Her extensive experience involved close collaboration with courts, government agencies, and community organizations addressing critical issues such as mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence, and housing.

Robyn’s passions lie in helping youth graduate and supporting individuals struggling with substance abuse in finding recovery. Her work has often placed her at the intersection of family and community, assisting parents who have lost custody of their children and youth in group homes or residential treatment programs.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Robyn has generously contributed her time to various community initiatives. She has held leadership roles within the Junior League of San Jose, including serving as Vice President of Community Projects. As a volunteer, she’s participated in the National Charity League, supported her children’s schools, and collaborated with numerous organizations such as Project Cornerstone, Grail Family Services, Bring Me a Book Foundation, Kids in the Kitchen, and Sunday Friends.

We are proud to welcome Robyn to Pivotal’s Board and are excited for the depth of experience, community leadership, and passion that she will bring to our work.
