Pivotal’s ANNUAL INTERNSHIP SHOWCASE is just two days away!

Wondering what a Pivotal college summer internship looks like? Well then, join us at our 2019 Internship Showcase, held at Adobe Headquarters this Thursday, October 24, 2019, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.  There's still time to RSVP!

You’ll hear our 2019 Pivotal internship employers and interns talk about the personal and professional impact of a Pivotal internship!

Read on for some of our favorite internship stories from Summer 2019!

Farhad A. interned at Gilead, a global biomedical company headquartered in Foster City. He’s a chemistry major at the University of San Francisco, hoping to create serious scientific change in the world. At Gilead, Farhad had a chance to gain real-time lab experience while working in a state-of-the-art lab.  He stood out with his detailed and accurate work, the questions he asked, and his networking ability!

Natalia A. wants to become an attorney and change the foster care system for good. Last summer, she interned at The Hub, a foster youth drop-in support center right here in San Jose. Working at The Hub was extra special for Natalia because of the agency’s enormous impact on her life. “The Hub has played a big role in my life. Before Pivotal and The Hub, I felt like an outsider around my friends and other people at school because they didn’t know what it was like to be in the foster care system.” During her internship, Natalia worked on a range of tasks, like working at the reception desk and providing clerical support. Being able to give back to her community while earning paid work experience was a win-win for Natalia!

John N. worked in the marketing department at Netskope, a cloud security company located in Santa Clara. He learned to use a variety of software applications, updated the company’s website, and even spearheaded a marketing videography project in which he captured the stories of 30 summer interns and featured each on Netskope’s Instagram. The last day of his internship was a real tearjerker, as he and his supervisor shared their mutual appreciation for each other’s work ethic and positive life outlook. John’s summer work was so impactful, that Netskope offered him a job this December while he’s off from school for the holiday break!
